If you ar a railway fan, why not make a booking to coincide with the passing of the occasional steam train?
Golf, gym and a coarse fishing lake are in the village. So, whether you like a relaxing holiday or enjoy a more active one, The Old Waiting Rooms offers you plenty of opportunities.
Monica and John look forward to seeing you.
Children welcome from any age.
Really quirky self-catering accommodation with loads of steam train memorabilia. The hosts Monica and John are lovely and helpful and have collected loads of information about the local area.
You have to be innovative with the catering because you have a combination convection oven/microwave and a two ring electric cooker and very little work-space other than the dining table.
Plenty of hot water always available but the shower over the bath is difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature.
Thank you Keith and Pat for your kind comments. We completed a major refurb of the kitchen in October. Gone is the sink/fidge/hob, replaced with a bespoke Belfast sink unit. The combi microwave is now a plain microwave, and there is a full size fridge and electric cooker. The sofa has gone (which may disappoint some guests) and has made room for a large unit giving more storage and work space. (See new web site.)
