Bell Island Cottage is ideally located on the east side of Whitby with wonderful views over the River Esk and marina, as well as being close to restaurants, bars and shops.
A stroll on the harbour takes you to the heart of Whitby and its many attractions including cobbled streets, fishermen's cottages with their pantiled roofs, historic Abbey, charming St. Mary's Church and the 199 Steps.
The cottage is grade II listed. Major renovation works in 2008 developed the accommodation to a high standard of quality and comfort whilst restoring many original features. The cottage has its unique style and character.
This cottage is ideal for four people and successfully combines both period and contemporary styles. Spread over three floors the cottage is accessed at sreet level into a stylish and well equipped open plan lounge/kitchen floored in natural slate with tub and leather sofas and a large rustic Mexican pine dining table.
An aqua tiled bathroom is also located on the ground floor with a spacious shower unit. The double bedroom is located on the second floor and twin room on the third floor. It has attractive and comfortable furnishings as well as lovely harbour views over the marina. The cottage also benefits from gas central heating and double glazing.
We are strictly non-smoking and do not allow pets (except assistance dogs)
What Our Guests Say
Bell Island Cottage
"A great cottage in a lovely location. We have really enjoyed our few days exploring Whitby and the surrounding countryside. In my experience it is rare to find a cottage where so much consideration has been given to every aspect of the decor - including the lovely refreshing shower! I will definitely be recommending Bell Island Cottages as a holiday destination to my friends" Fiona McGee, London
"This felt like home as soon as we walked through the door! Beautifully kept, fantastic position, warm and comfortable. We will return. What a find" Gary and Julie, Barnsley
"A last minute booking, easily and efficiently arranged and arrived to a delightful cottage, beautifully restored and the finishing touches of those little 'extras' were much appreciated. To be recommended. Many thanks" Peter and Gill Furniss, Sheffield
"This cottage is lovely, the kitchen was so well equipped that I didn't need anything I brought. Bathroom and shower were great too. We enjoyed long walks, boat trips and the lovely restaurants. Do we have to go home? We could stay another week. Great half term - Thank you! PS We will come again" The Taylors, Bolton
