Humble Bee Farm offers all the pleasures of a peaceful, rural holiday whilst at the same time has the added bonus of its proximity to the north eastern coast. It is ideal for exploring the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline, discovering the quiet sandy beaches, or taking long relaxing walks on the Farm or surrounding area.
Scarborough and its surrounding area not only offers beach holidays, it is also situated on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park, which contains open moorland and fantastic views. The mixture of rugged coastline and stunning countryside is fast-becoming popular for film crews, with Little Voice, Harry Potter, Heartbeat, The Royal, the sitcom Barbara, Shackleton and the Martin Clunes drama A Is For Acid, all proving over the past few years that the area has prime backdrops for the small and big screen. To explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area for yourself, why not visit the Heritage Coast at Bempton and Flamborough. There is also Filey which is loved for its original 'fishing village' appearance and atmosphere. There is the famous promontory Filey Brigg, which will delight anglers of all ages.
Humble Bee Farm is ideally situated for day trips to many local places of interest including Castle Howard, Whitby, Flamingoland, Revaulx Abbey, Dalby Forest, York, The Yorkshire Wolds, Robin Hoods Bay, the designer discount shopping at McArthur Glen and Hornsea Freeport and the beautiful market towns of Helmsley, Malton and Pickering.
Walking in the Area: Yorkshire has areas of breath-taking scenery that makes it a truly beautiful place to walk. The local and surrounding areas of Humble Bee Farm are no different. You can choose to stay in the farms vast and stunning 320 acres of natural beauty or venture further a field. It's close proximity to coastal areas, historic cities, market towns and charmingly set villages, enables walks to vary from gentle strolls by rivers to more daunting full day treks. The variety of landscapes you could see can vary from rolling green hills and secluded woodlands to coastlines with vast golden sands and dramatic clifftops. The area boasts pastureland and meadows, as The North Yorkshire Moors provides the largest amount of heather in upland England.
