Located on the West side of Whitby, Walkers Yard is a quiet yard, nestling between Cliff Street and Silver Street. Built towards the end of the 19C, Walkers Cottage is centrally situated close to the beach, bustling quayside, harbour and Whitby town centre with all its shops, bars, restaurants and amenities.
There are superb views of the Abbey, the harbour, the town and surrounding countryside from the second floor bedrooms.
Conveniently placed for exploring the local area on foot. The Cleveland Way is also close by as well as the North York Moors National Park and steam railway. Moors villages and the fishing villages of Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and towns of Scarborough and Redcar are easily accessible by car.
Lovingly restored and renovated, Walkers Cottage provides quiet cosy, convenient well-equipped high quality accommodation, a real 'home from home'.
The ground floor comprises of a lounge, kitchen/diner and cloakroom. The first floor offers a bathroom with a shower over the bath, and one single bedroom. The second floor offers two bedrooms, one double and one adult bunk. Outdoor relaxation is provided by the well-equipped south facing enclosed patio area.
We are child friendly providing a high chair, cot, stair gates, crockery/cutlery, DVD's, books and games. We are also very health and safety conscious, with smoke detectors on all floors, a carbon monoxide detector, fire blanket and extinguisher. We have an annual gas safety check certificate and carry out an annual fire risk assessment.
Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are available on arrival. Children welcome from any age.

By Road:
Follow the A171 Guisborough Road into Whitby. Straight over the roundabout (Mayfield Road). At the traffic lights turn left into Downdinner Prospect. Travel down the hill and at the mini-roundabout take the 2nd left into Hill Road. At the next roundabout turn right into St Hilda's Terrace (Pannett Park and Museum are now on your right) leading into Flowergate. Travel straight down the road past the 'dead end' sign, 50yds turn left into Cliff Street. About 400yds on the left is number 7 and 7D Walkers Yard.
