Located in a Victorian property on Rutland Terrace, overlooking the beach and Scarborough’s North Bay, Phoenix Court offers 14 en-suite rooms, a bar, sea-view lounge, dining room and guests’ car park. Whilst rated as a guest house, we offer many hotel services but also retain all the benefits of a guest house. We offer a warm welcome and a very friendly base for your stay in Scarborough and an excellent location from which to explore the wider North Yorkshire area.

By Road:
Royal Albert Drive is the coast road that runs around the North Bay. About half way along (near the barrier) turn right up the cliffs into Albert Road. Turn left and then first left again onto Queens Parade. Follow the road round as it turns into Rutland Terrace. Phoenix Court is the last hotel and has a car park to the side.

By Public Transport:
From the railway station, follow Northway to the traffic lights. Turn right onto Victoria Road. Go straight through the traffic lights, over the roundabout onto Castle Road. Take third turning left and then right onto Rutland Terrace. Hotel Phoenix is on the right hand side.

Notes

  • A spacious and comfy ground floor room is available for any guests who might find difficulty in accessing the stairs to other rooms. This room can be set up as either a twin or a king room. It is on the same level as the guest lounge, bar and dining room. We are happy to discuss specific access requirements with you prior to your arrival in order to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. These can include exact measurements of door width, shower step in height, bed height, etc.

    When you are here we can give you a tour of the building and your room and also devise a personal evacuation plan with you in case of emergencies. A full access statement is available from our website.

    Phoenix Court doesn't have a lift but we are more than happy to carry bags to your room if this would be helpful.

    We are linked to Scarborough Shop Mobility and so, can reserve motorised or manual wheelchairs for you during your stay.
