Postgate Farm Holidays is a farmhouse located in Whitby. Surrounded by magnificent open moorland, Postgate is a small sheep farm situated a mile from Glaisdale village. The farmhouse and flat are Grade II Listed buildings with unique features, including a witch post and saltbox. The family have farmed here for 300 years.

The country house farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation, with lounge, dining-room, guests' kitchen (fridge and microwave). One double ensuite room and one twin ensuite. All rooms have TV, courtesy tray, hairdryer and clock radio. Own key. Sorry no pets. We are open all year.

In front of the farmhouse and flat is a sheltered south facing patio and lawned area with picnic tables and chairs for our guests to relax in the sun! Or hire the gas barbecue for that leisurely alfresco meal! There is a games room with table tennis, pool, snooker and darts and a laundry and drying room all on site.

The area is steeped in history - Beggars Bridge Glaisdale is a 17thC packhorse bridge of romantic origin! From here, a walk through the Arncliffe Woods brings you to the pretty village of Egton Bridge. We have the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway passing through 'Heartbeat' country and nearby is Captain Cook's birthplace and home-ground. The Heritage Coast provides wonderful beaches and unique fishing villages, with Smugglers' tales! This is wonderful walking countryside and also we are an ideal touring base.

By Road:
From A171 (Whitby to Teeside) turn for Egton. Turn right in Egton signed for Glaisdale. Turn left at crossroads in centre of village, signed Glaisdale Dale only. Postgate Farm is on the left-hand side after 1.5 miles.

By Public Transport:
Local bus service Mon-Sat, from Glaisdale village (1.25 miles from farm) into Whitby and back.
