Ashfield Cottages offer you the perfect location for walking and touring, with many different areas of Countryside and Coastline to choose from. Enjoy a day out walking or mountain biking in Dalby Forest, or a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway from Pickering to Whitby, that wends it's way through the beautiful Moorland Countryside.

In Lockton Village there is a Playpark and Tennis Court. Close by is Dalby Forest, which has access to play areas for children, BBQ''s for the family and plenty of waymarked Walking and Cycle/Mountain Bike trails. In Pickering 5 miles away, there is a Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre. Children welcome from any age.

By Road:
You can reach us by the A169 from Pickering to Whitby (Lockton is approximately five miles away from Pickering). The village of Lockton is signposted and is a left hand turning off the A169. Ashfield Cottages are at the far end of Lockton, at the top of the 'no through' road, just before the last house on the left. If travelling from the Whitby direction, Lockton is approximately 15 miles along the A169.

By Public Transport:
Take the Yorkshire Coastliner bus service, which travels from Leeds to Whitby, stopping at Lockton upon request, or if travelling by train to Malton, then transfer to the Yorkshire Coastliner bus service to Lockton. Ashfield Cottages are at the far end of Lockton Village, at the top of the 'no through' road, just before the last house on the left.
