Sunnyvale House - Whitby is a Family run Guest House with 5 delightful modern en-suite rooms. Mike and Judith make you feel very welcome and aim to make your stay in this charming seaside town one to remember.
An excellent freshly cooked breakfast is guaranteed, served in the bright, south facing dining room. All guests have a wide choice of cereals and fruit followed by an extensive cooked breakfast menu, from a full Yorkshire with locally produced sausages, to Whitby kippers; boiled eggs (with soldiers!) and delicious vegetarian options.
Situated on the West Cliff we are ideally located for all of Whitby's many attractions. The Beach, Pavilion, Town, Harbourside, Shops and Restaurants are all just a short stroll away on Whitby's Westside. Cross the historic swing bridge spanning the river Esk to visit the Eastside with its charming narrow streets, Whitby Jet works, Captain Cook museum, Kipper smoke house, plus many enchanting shops. Climb the famous 199 steps to the delightful Parish Church of Saint Mary's, pause for a moment, not just to catch your breath, but also to take in the atmosphere that inspired Bram Stoker to write his most famous novel 'Dracula'. On then to our most historic landmark, Whitby Abbey, now owned by English Heritage it has an interactive visitor centre to guide you through the fascinating history of this spectacular ruin.
