




Whitby Pavilion Complex

Situated on the Cliffside overlooking Whitby Bay this unique venue offers a range of different spaces, catering for a host of events.
The Pavilion Theatre boasts an atmospheric Victorian interior, combined with the modern dance and concert hall, to play host to a number of arts and leisure activities. Stage showsdances, major festivals/concerts, fund-raising and children's events, exhibitions and conferences, not to mention a whole range of private functions, meetings and community events.
Catering facilities are available for every event from pre-theatre drinks to daytime refreshments and gala dinners. The glass atrium, which houses the permanent café area, has stunning panoramic sea views from Sandsend Nab through Due North to Whitby's east and west piers.
The Pavilion is nestled into the West Cliff and can be reached on foot from the West Cliff car parking area, or from the beach access footpaths. Access is along the 'Spa' Drive from Whitby's famous Whalebone Arch. Disabled access to the building is gained by following the 'Spa Drive' and driving alongside the Theatre.
First opened in 1880, Whitby Pavilion remains Whitby's largest and most popular entertainment venue, providing something for all tastes from Gothic to Gaelic, with festivals returning year after year.
