Whitby Gothic WeekendWhitby Goth Weekend is back for another Halloween Special.
Founded by Jo Hampshire in 1994, this twice-yearly event held in Spring and late Autumn at the Whitby Pavilion has grown into one of the most popular Gothic events in the world, attracting all generations from across the UK and around the world.
As well as Goths, there are Punks, Steampunks, Emos, Bikers, Metallers and all manner of weird and wonderful characters, all of which are welcomed through the Pavilion's doors.
This is a rare opportunity to see live International acts, from as far away as the USA and Australia, along with dancing, drinking, eating and shopping at the massive popular Bizarre Bazaar Goth Market. With events taking place during the day and on an evening there is never a dull moment. These include additional club nights, markets and a charity football match.
Whilst gearing up for the night time events, throughout the town Goths and non-Goths alike, from babies to octogenarians (!) parade around in weird and wonderful costumes and it all makes for a wonderful and friendly atmosphere, to be enjoyed by all.
Band line up for Autumn 2013 is still to be announced, check website for line up announcements.
On sale soon!
A ticket entitles the holder to exchange it for a wrist-band which should be collected from the WGW info stall in The Pavilion.
Wristbands are required for entry to the evening events at The Pavilion & the Fringe events. .
Occasionally day tickets are released close to the event. However, it will always be much better to buy the full ticket because a single day ticket will aways be more than half of the full weekend price, and more often than not, the event sells out and so this does not become an option.
If you do decide to sweat it out and wait, you have been warned!
