South Bay
South Bay has a large sandy bay with excellent facilities, child friendly amenities and is very popular with families. During the main season the RNLI patrol the beach with trained life guards.
There is a working harbour with a small fishing fleet and a new marina for yachts and pleasure boats. There are various boat and fishing trips around the bay and along the coast.
You will be spoilt for choice for amusements along the Foreshore and entertainment in the wonderful Victorian Spa Complex and Futurist theatres.
The Spa houses the famous Spa Orchestra during the summer season, which is the only one of it's kind remaining in the UK. Many national organisations hold their annual conferences there and is popular for TV and film locations.
Sample the wonderful Yorkshire fish & chips and seaside stalls selling traditional delights from cockles and oysters to Scarborough rock and fudge alongside quality cafes and restaurants.
A handy cliff lift provides easy access to the town centre in minutes.
