DanbyDanby

Danby was once the home of writer and cleric Canon Atkinson, who was Vicar of Danby Church which lies in a remote and stunning location up the Dale. Today the village is home to The Moors Centre, one of the National Park's Visitor Centres, as well as its own bakery.

The nearby village of Ainthorpe boasts the oldest pub in the area. The Fox and Hounds, which dates back to 1555 can be found beside the village green.
