Grosmont is a village with an industrial past built in the mid-19th century for the men working on the Whitby to Pickering railway. After the railway being closed in the 1960's some enthusiasts transformed it into the private, North York Moors Steam Railway which is still running today. Other amenities in the village include public house serving bar meals, craft shop, general store, cafe, public car park, picnic area, general grocery shop, church.
Toilets with disabled facilites. Guest houses and cottages for rent, post office.
